Found and named by Eddie Roberts in Shropshire. The flowers are more rounded than normal nivalis and can on occasion show some green tips to the outer segments. Named after the Roundheads who were the supporters of the British parliament during the English Civil War of the 1640’s and their leader, Olivier Cromwell had a headquarters in the Shropshire town of Wem.
